Servers

Job Description:

A server at Littleton’s Market will provide excellent customer service, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a positive dining experienceThey are responsible for greeting guests, seating them, presenting menus, and attending to their needs throughout the meal, including taking and delivering orders, and processing payments.
Key Responsibilities:
    • Welcome guests, seat them, and present menus. 
    • Accurately take food and beverage orders, making suggestions and answering questions.
    • Deliver food and drinks to guests’ tables promptly.
    • Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
    • Remove used plates, clean tables, and prepare for the next guests.
    • Deliver checks, process payments, and handle tips.
    • Provide friendly and efficient service, contributing to a positive dining experience.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
    • Help with bussing tables, restocking stations, and other duties as needed. 
 
Bartender
A Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, interacting with customers and maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar areaThey take orders, mix drinks according to recipes or customer preferences, and process payments. Additionally, bartenders ensure customers are of legal drinking age, monitor their level of intoxication, and provide excellent customer service. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Mixes and pours alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer requests.
  • Greets customers, takes orders, recommends menu items, and provides a positive and engaging experience.
  • Verifies the age and identification of customers to ensure they are of legal drinking age.
  • Monitors customers for signs of intoxication and refuses service to those who are intoxicated or disruptive.
  • Keeps the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked with ingredients and supplies.
  • Handles cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Complies with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding the serving of alcohol.

Food Runners ($10/hr + tips)

 

Job Description:

A Food Runner, or Server Assistant, supports waitstaff in carrying beverages and meal items to designated tables. Their duties include communicating with Waiters to determine their needs, carrying food items from the expediting counter to the right table, and helping with cleanup duties after the conclusion of service.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately
    • Uphold sanitation and food safety principles
    • Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash
    • Check-in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory
    • Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties
    • Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to enjoy their food properly
    • Assist in setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins, and decorations
    • Handle various impromptu requests from customers

Host/Hostess ($8/hr + tips)

 

Job Description:

  • Hosts are responsible for welcoming customers to a food service environment and ensuring they are seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus, and accepting phone calls.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
  • Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
  • Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
  • Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
  • Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff
  • Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties

Server Assistant ($8/hr + tips)

Job Description:

  • A server assistant, commonly referred to as a busser, plays a key role in aiding the waitstaff in a restaurant by clearing tables, setting them up with fresh silverware and napkins, refilling beverages, delivering food to tables, keeping the dining area clean, and helping with various tasks as necessary to provide a seamless dining experience for patrons; essentially serving as a support position to the main servers, facilitating quick table turnover and ensuring a pleasant customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Table clearing and resetting: After each course, dirty dishes, silverware, and glasses are removed from the tables, which are then reset with clean linens and tableware. 
  • Food and beverage delivery: Assisting servers by delivering food and drinks to tables, especially when servers are busy.
  • Water refilling: Regularly check and refill water glasses for guests. 
  • Greeting and seating guests: May assist the host by greeting customers and seating them at tables.
  • Maintaining station supplies: Ensuring server stations are stocked with necessary items like napkins, menus, and condiments. 
  • Cleaning and maintaining the dining area: Keeping the dining floor clean and organized, including sweeping up spills and crumbs. 
  • Pre-bussing: Removing dishes from tables throughout the meal to help streamline service 
  • Communicating with kitchen staff: Relaying orders and any special requests to the kitchen 
  • Following restaurant standards: Adhering to established service standards and procedures.
